This suburban disco got a good dose of music and more on Saturday night, as New Jersey-based Jamal Sheikh hosted a musical evening to celebrate his musical beginning in India.

Maestros of Indian classical music Sultan Khan and Ghulam Mustafa Khan were the chief guests for the evening, and came promptly on time. Old habits die hard, but in today’s fashionably late times, such habits are a blessing!

The maestros along with Abu Malik addressed the guests, and spoke enthusiastically of Jamal’s passion and dedication towards music. Aroon Bakshi was seen browsing through the music CDs on display, while new singers Khushboo and Mandhar got their dose of a Page 3 do.

Later, after some persuasion from the guests, the musical duo also sang a few lines from their songs. The sounds of music whiffed through the air as the night smoothly went on.
